THE ARNOLD FITNESS WEEKEND:
The next Arnold Fitness Weekend will have approximately 17,400 plus athletes. The vast majority of these will be at the Convention Center, Battelle Hall and Nationwide auditorium (The Arnold Expo) with a small but professional cadre at Vets Memorial (The Arnold Classic). Both The Arnold Expo and The Arnold Classic fall under the auspices of The Arnold Fitness Weekend.
THE EXPO MEDICAL TEAM: There has been much preparation to assure that the athletes and staff will have a great time and stay safe. Though every precaution has been taken it is a reality that there will be injuries amongst these intense top performers and the medical team will be there to assist them. HAM operators, physicians, medical students, nurses, medical assistants, medics, administrative people and Boy Scouts from Troop 843 will be there in force. These individuals make up the medical team and are COMPLETELY volunteer. Approximately 200 such volunteers will work about 1000 hours in an attempt to prevent injury and assist if injury occurs. We owe them a debt of gratitude!
For the past 9 years Rural Metro Ambulance Service has played a key role in assisting the medical team supplying us with personnel and medic vehicles, advanced cardiac life support equipment, medical supplies, radios and performing hospital transports when needed. We are grateful for their participation and hope to see them again at this year's Arnold Expo.
